YZF600R Gap Meet 2015 - Reserector - 07-21-2015

I'll be heading to Deal's Gap, aka the Tail of the Dragon Wednesday evening. I plan to stop and camp in Talladega national forest, which is a halfway point.

The bike is all packed and prepped.

I'm hoping that by the time I get that far north, and that late at night, it will be pretty decent. But if it's not, oh well. Small price to pay for a trip to the Dragon to see all my YZF friends once again.

Have a great and safe trip. Prayer said for your safety. We made it to the beach today. I guess my exciting thing this season on the bike will be track day(s), but I really have an itch to get back to Deals Gap!

YZF600R Gap Meet 2015 - Reserector - 07-23-2015

Had to punch through a downpour on i59 before I reached Meridian. It was really rough. But no rain after that, so I was dry by the time I reached camp

The slab ride was otherwise uneventful. I made a few stops, which cost me more time than I realized. I didn't get to Pine Glen campground in Talladega national forest until 2:30 AM. (My apologies to the other two families that were there.

Had a decent night's sleep, and got going by nine. The campground was pretty nice. Vault toilets, a creek running by it, and supposedly running water. I couldn't figure it out, but then again, I didn't try very hard.
It's 7.5 miles of the paved road. It is loose gravel, but smooth and consistent. Had a deer jump out several feet on front of me, so that was a thrill.

I'm stopped for lunch, and to give my butt a break. Somewhere on 985 north.

I'll post pics as soon as my sd card finishes loading.......

Had a good day. I led some others through hours worth of twisties. About 200 miles for the whole trip.

We'll probably do a night ride on the dragon this evening.
