Red Bluff Saturday morning?
#1
Looking at riding to Red Bluff tomorrow.  6/4/16.  PM me if you can go.  So far, just my boy and me.  Two bikes.  I can adjust the time to suit.

NH_to_MS, Specter, and myself met up this morning and rode all the nice winding highways (590 and 589) to get to 587 which takes us by Red Bluff.  The main road to the Bluff is closed at the highway, but it is still accessible if you go to the next road and backtrack.

Each time I visit, there is less and less of the original road left.  It continues to swallow the landscape.  I guess the good side of that is that it is never the same twice.

We left the bluff, and continued north on 587 to Monticello.  587 is very twisty, but if you ride it, I must caution you that the turns are not consistent nor predictable.  There are houses along the way that make it hazardous to speed through.  So while it is a really fun road, keep a level head as you ride, and be respectful of the folks who live there.

We had a really good ride.  About 160 miles total.    It was very cloudy, but we missed all the rain.
All in all it was nice to go riding just to go see something cool.  Hmmmm, where next?
