Bringing back my crashed Cat

Auto zone stocks the seal driver I needed. It was disguised as an exhaust pipe.
I used a sander to kill the sharp edge, and it worked perfectly.[Image: 3f480ee2a466a4f1884c0d54583968fa.jpg][Image: e6f81c0732f059fb4daff6bcd143636c.jpg][Image: ed68f50ff166c1f009abd168489889fd.jpg][Image: b97d1bea9663f9c6dd6e38bac2006c5f.jpg]

New forks, new lower triple and new front fender are on.  I was able to ride it a bit.

Next obstacle was to straighten the sub frame (seat frame).  Realizing that this bike stood on its nose, and then slammed down on it's left side with nothing to cushion the blow, means it was bent under considerable force.  Likewise, it took considerable force to straighten it.  Video to follow:

We got the front fairing stay back in shape today. This was the last major hurdle. Next is wiring repairs, and hang the replacement plastic.[Image: be87deb43ac3853bc3bc7b39512c30b4.jpg][Image: b686fe950dce79a82c8be6d324db7beb.jpg]

Anticipating a rainy weekend, I gathered all my plastics and put them in the camper. That way I could sit in a dry, air conditioned area and fit all of it together.
I was a few clip nuts and screws away from 100% so I ordered some hardware from EBay.
I plan to have the bike all back together by this weekend.[Image: ec4863430724516533e7400c6302175f.jpg][Image: e885a703b1f6408d33cca17ddd207bb2.jpg][Image: b267e545ef173a5b87663ac555ba83f8.jpg][Image: 6cb6bbd53297a1fb5537ca1401080e7c.jpg]

I've got it back together and running. It handles great and tracks straight, even with my hands off the bars.
It's not running quite right, though. It breaks up under heavy throttle at any RPM in any gear. I've known it to act that way in the past, and it was a failing ignition coil.
I'm headed to the tail of the Dragon this weekend, so there is no time to order any parts, but one of the guy as a set and will bring them along so I can swap them in this weekend.

Aside from that, it is great to be back on the 600 again. It is such a wonderful machine.
