I ordered a 4x6 LED headlight from eBay that claimed to fit DRZ400. It doesn't. Not directly, anyway.
Rising to the challenge, I googled it, and then came up with a different solution of my own.
In a nutshell, I kept the original mount frame, but deleted the stock housing and adjusters. I had to bend the top mounting tab out of the way. I kept the tab that the flasher attached to.
I fabricated a new bracket to mount the new lamp to the plastic bezel. The bottom is secured while the top is slotted to allow adjusting.
I used silicone weather stripping around the lens to cushion it and center it in the opening.
I did not have to trim the opening. The only mod to the bezel was the creation of an adjustment slot.
I have not replaced the faulty battery yet, so I cannot test it.
